Do you need to clean out your closets, or are you tired of too much stuff sitting around? Well let Starfire Sports help you…Starfire Sports accepts and distributes soccer equipment to underprivileged youth throughout King County. We are currently in need of gently worn or slightly used soccer cleats or indoor turf shoes and shin guards. So, if you would like to help a rising soccer star achieve their goal, why not drop your old soccer gear off at one of our collection bins. You will find a collection bin located behind the front desk in the indoor center or you may leave a bag/box with our guest services staff. Thank you!!

The Treehouse Learning Center (TLC) located at Starfire Sports will be offering tutoring services, in conjunction with enrichment activities. Founded in 1988, Treehouse programs offer foster kids what all children desperately need: a safe place to dream. Treehouse fills the gaps for foster kids, providing services that no other agency addresses: money for extra-curricular activities and summer camps, professional educational support services, resources to fully participate in the everyday activities of growing up, clothing and supplies to help them fit in at school. Treehouse…giving foster kids a childhood….and a future.
The Treehouse Learning Center at Starfire is actively looking for volunteers from the community to help tutor our youth. Take a moment after work, or use your time while waiting for your child to finish their soccer practice, to help Treehouse youth enhance their lives. Opportunities to volunteer as tutors and/or to run athletic enrichment activities are available. If interested, please contact: Shmuel Rubinstein, TLC Tukwila Coordinator, at 206-450-0229 or shmuel@treehouseforkids.org |
